I’m Sean Johnson, a freelance web designer based in Peterborough, UK.

I’ve been designing websites since 1998, working on many projects, big and small, for individuals and small businesses through to internationally recognised brand names.

What I Do

I can help with website design and build, offering a complete package from initial research and UX planning, through design and development, to launch and on-going support.
I also provide user interface design for web and mobile apps, and with a background in graphic design I often help clients with logo design and branding too.

Who I Work With

I usually work with individuals, small-to-medium sized businesses and start-ups, but occasionally collaborate with developers and other web professionals on larger projects.
I’m based in Peterborough and typically work with clients in the UK, but I’ve successfully worked remotely with clients in Europe, USA and Canada.

Side Projects

I co-host The Freelance Web podcast, a weekly show for creative people working on the web, featuring interviews, industry news and discussion about the everyday ups and downs of freelancing.

Type Design & Fonts

I stumbled into type design after creating the hugely popular Hand of Sean font. I now design and sell my own fonts, and have worked with the likes of Monotype, Font Bureau and BBC Worldwide.

Fingers in Pies

I have a number of other personal projects on the go which I use as experiments for learning and testing out new web design techniques. These projects are pretty much hush hush, but if you know the Web Geek Society secret handshake I might share some with you.
