I’m a designer with over 15 years experience working in the fields of web & user interface design, graphic design and illustration.

I’m based in Peterborough and work with small-to-mid sized businesses and start-ups throughout the UK, helping them solve problems and be more successful online.

What I do

For projects that need a little more, I often collaborate with others from my trusted network of web professionals, which includes experts on copy writing, app development, online marketing and audience engagement.

A brief history

I started out in the 90s designing club flyers, posters and artwork for small independent record labels. In 1998 I started making websites and landed my first job as a web designer at a newspaper publishing company.

I went on to work for a number of design studios, working with clients such as NHS, NSPCC and Thomas Cook, before going freelance full-time in 2010.

I host The Freelance Web podcast, a weekly show discussing business issues and web industry news. In 2014 we were finalists for Podcast of the Year in The Net Awards.

I recently started speaking, sharing my ideas, experience and expertise at design conferences, web industry events and local business clubs.

I write about design, creativity and business, and contribute to a number of publications and blogs including net magazine, Shopify and The Freelance Web.
